We (and lots of others I’m sure) have no water tonight. Will it be back on in the morning? 5 of us here, a full dishwasher that can’t be run, showers needed in the morning, etc.
What notice did you give of a water outage? I wasn’t listening to radio or watching tv. Didn’t fill a kettle or saucepan as I had no idea water would be going off.

Was notice given? I wasn’t reading news online or listening to radio.

Yes notice was given on the radio and saw it on the rte website this afternoon. Not sure how you expect to be notified if you are not listening to the news or reading it online. Impacts greater Dublin area 7pm to 7am likely for several weeks. Also we are asked to conserve water by not using dishwasher.

Tbf it was well notified but if you've not been online or listening to the radio you'd have easily missed it.

Didn’t say I expected to be notified in any other way. I asked if notice was given. Which it clearly was.

Hmmm. The 7am thing isn’t really happening here. No water.

True, I was flat out yesterday in work catching up on work, I only twigged it cause of a push notification from RTE news, probably would have heard it on the way home in the car regardless.

Just pointing out yesterday was a manic day for a lot of workers and things potentially get missed. There is nothing else Irish Water could do in getting the message out though.

    Hi all,

Apologies for the delay in response as we had limited resources due to the storm.

Any and all updates for the area can be located here and on our news page.

The restriction was imposed in order to help replenish reservoir levels and we apologise for the inconvenience this necessary work caused.

    Thanks,
    Mairead
