Hi,van is up for test and from experience I know they will fail it for the central locking not shutting rear door. The pin is moving back and forward but the metal piece on lock has sheared off.Cant get one at a breakers and Fiat dealer wants over 200 euro for one.If I got my own Van lock which I lock manually can they say anything. Can they really fail you for a door not locking, its seems absurd.Bye the way its a 07 1.3 multijet.Thanks.

I’ve never heard of something failing over the remote locks not working, just leave it unlocked.
The door should obviously close and open.

Your probably correct,as far as I can remember the last time the door had a problem was for it not opening at all.The pin just needed a bit of grease and it was ok.The thing that's really bothering me is that its all from a toe rag who forced the lock and while he was at it nicked my lovely sds drill. In total a couple of hundred quid. The usual crap, they know who did it but Cant charge him.Cant give me cctv footage either.

You can’t fix that! But at least you shouldn’t fail the test.

I’d be surprised if the lock wasn’t shared with another model.
