I have a large lawn which I'd like to replace with irish wildflowers or camomile.
Do I need to kill the grass first and if so how to do it organically?
If I kill the lawn then will it affect the growth of newly sown flowers?

    Is there a shortcut?

You might like to look at this site w.wildflowers.ie/index.htm which I found accidentally while looking for something else. It has a lot of information though you have to root (!) around for it.

:) Yes I had a very enjoyable hour reading it and was particularly intrigued by the link to the soil maps.
