Insulating condenser boiler pipe

During the bad weather the pipe out of the condenser boiler froze and so I had to unfreeze it manually, but not before we had a very cold house for a few hours.

I want to fix this problem so we don't have the same problem again if the weather is very cold.

Pipe comes out of the wall, then goes left horizontally for 50cm, then right angle straight down. I'm assuming this bend is most likely where it was frozen.

The boiler and pipe is installed < 12 months, should the installer have installed it with some kind of fall in the pipe? and possibly insulate it?

What diameter pipe? Maybe a pic.

There should be a fall in the 50com that is horizontal

That's what I thought, there is no fall at all, 90 degree bend, looking at it again it's more like 25cm length.

    Photo attached.
