Our water has been off for nearly a day now in South Leitrim (Carrigallen/Ballinamore) area. Any chance of an update on when it will be back? Thanks.

    Hi,

Due to the storm, a restriction in the reservoir was put in place in order to let levels replenish.

    You can see more here.

If we receive any update, we will tweet using #IWLeitrim and post it on wtr.ie/Leitrim.

    Thanks,
    Mairead

    Hi
I am in South leitrim and we have no water since Saturday night. I have 5 young kids and we have not a drop. Do you expect us to keep paying for bottled water. There should be a water stations bought into the areas so people can fill up with water. It's very un hygienic and nobody there seems to care unless we are in Dublin they forgot about us up here.
Also in the website said it should be back no normal since 5pm today we are still waiting.

Same here, still not back on and running out of options to get things done around the house/farm with no water. When is this actually going to be fixed?

This is the 3rd day running without water here in Drumshanbo. The Council says it's due to cold weather restrictions while Irish Water claim it's a mechanical fault (Ref LEI019023) and that "Full supply is expected to resume at approximately 5pm on 5 March." So far, not even a drop in sight. Desperate situation when the State can't even secure the most basic of services to its people.

I'm Drumshanbo too but seems if your living in carrick its a different story. The swimming pool is open and yesterday at the garage on the dublin road there is a cue of cars getting their cars washed, how much water is that using up. Our water wasn't reduced it was completely switched off. We seem to be living in a third world country if this can't be sorted quicker. Our the truth is they dont care about the smaller towns and businesses here. So angry
