2 weeks around Bejing, where to travel around

    I'll be in Beijing for a while seeing a mate and will have two weeks of travel in July.

    Where would you recommend to travel to cities for 2/3 days?

    I was thinking Beijing for a couple of days then Shanghai, Hong Kong, (maybe Taiwan), Tokyo and Seoul.

    Any suggestions of cities in this part of the world that stood out to you would be very much appreciated :).

    Get out into the country. Go up the Yangtse - Chongking, Wuhan etc.
    Shanghai is worth seeing.
    Guilin is the picture postcard destination.

    So many places to see.

    Your own suggestions are fairly good, if you can afford the travel. Take a day trip to the Great Wall. Has to be done when there.
