Just had our current provider hike premiums on our two cats and a dog - all four years old or younger - by about 15% despite our never having made a claim in the two years we've been with them.

Anyone know who's the best value for money provider right now - link to a recent post will do - last one I can find here dates back to about 2013....

Thanks in advance for your advice

    How much is the renewal?

Gone up by roughly E60 - about 15% - which seems a tad excessive

i just got renewal from Allianz for 2 golden retrievers, coming in at 501. That's a jump from last year, cannot remember the specifics last year

I'd say it's spot on? I'm with alliance and would expect them to go up by around €20 each year. Some years they don't go up at all and some years they do.

Bailey's went up €200 this year as it had gone DOWN €100 the year before so obviously a mistake and then he had to have knee surgery that cost €2400(!). Without the insurance I would have had to pay that €2400 in full - referral hospitals don't let you pay in instalments so that's something to be mindful of if you decided to drop the insurance and save instead.

My car insurance went up €100 for no reason last year for comparison. :(
