I completed a review for 2016 taking into account of my wife and I earnings and specified tax credits and bands etc.

Tax credits were split even (3300 each) but the cut off limit was given to me.

I understand we could have reallocated tax credits

1650 to my wife and the 4950 to me.

Can I ask for a second review on that basis? or is it too late?

First, it's assessible, not accessible! :p

    Then:-

"The choice about who becomes the assessable spouse or nominated civil partner is made by both of you. All you need to do is to inform Revenue which of you is to be the assessable spouse or nominated civil partner. This person continues to be the assessable spouse/nominated civil partner until both of you jointly elect that the other spouse/civil partner is to be the assessable spouse/nominated civil partner or until either of you opts for either separate assessment or assessment as a single person."

    "How to apply

Joint assessment: to nominate or change the assessable spouse for 2018, you must contact Revenue before 31 March 2018 - see 'Where to apply' below.

You can also fill in an Assessable Spouse Election Form and send it to Revenue before 31 March 2018.

Separate assessment: to be assessed separately from your spouse in 2018, you must contact Revenue between 1 October 2017 and 31 March 2018.

If you haven't applied for a joint or separate assessment by the dates set by Revenue, you will have to wait until the following year to apply.

That doesn't answer the question posed.

I am the assessable spouse which we set up this year. We also executed a review back 4 years. My question is can I change the details and request a second review for the same years as I think we could be due more ££ on this basis.

The tax credits will have been allocated in the most beneficial way to you automatically under joint assessment. What ever split you had on your credits during the tax year is irrelevant when the year end assessment is done by revenue

If that's the case by the form request you to nominate the cut offs and tax credits for each person?

That’s so your tax will be as accurate as possible during the tax year
