I'm looking for a high speed camera for slo mo videos.
What are my best options for bang for buck.
Budget is 1000 euro and i would want 10000 fps or more if possible.
Will this get me anyway decent quality recording or just low resolution?
    Suggestions are very welcome.
    Thank you

Add a zero or rethink your plan to be honest.

The S9 does really really crappy 960fps at 720p, thats €900 of a unit. Next step up is a LOT more.

sony RX10 does full HD at 960fps i think, for about a grand also.
what you're looking for is a specialist camera at amateur prices.

one thing working against you (speculating here) is the ability to handle that much data that quickly. it's not that the resulting videos will be unfeasibly large - 5 seconds of 10k fps is about a half hour long video when played back at 25fps; but the problem is that the camera has to be able to handle what will become a half hour long video being written in 5 seconds. consumer level technology is not specced to handle that, i bet.

High speed cameras use RAM disks and then SSDs, the SSDs alone are about twice the OPs budget.

What about fps1000 seems to come in considerably less than 10k? A bit ove my 1k budget but is video very poor at high speed? Id be willing to stretch the budget if i thought it was worth it.

I'd missed that before. Doesn't seem terrible. On a really bright day you'd be fine with that.

Still, 720p would be the minimum I'd want in most cases, thats £1900.
