Irish rail ICR New seats

    I was wondering will irish rail ever put any of these seats on their icr trains
    It would be a fairly big improvement

    Those are the current seats, only the seat fabric/covering is different

    Yes they plan to roll out new covers, one type was trailed but its been changed since.

    Edit - The trailed one might be the second seat in the link from the left side. The navy on the far right is probally what they will use.

    Do you know when they will come into passenger service
    Both of the blue/navy seats look fairly comfortable
    Is there a reason they want to change the seat covers

    When the budget allows for it I guess, maybe this year or next. There is no urgent need to replace covers for most of the fleet because they are still in good condition.

    Its just a general refresh, some have been in service 10 years now.
