Fledged birds?

I'm looking out the window at a shedload of birds feeding on the food that was buried in the now melting snow. Among them are some that look like fledged chicks. Two Blackbirds and a Song Thrush. Big fluffy balls beside the sleek adults.

    Too early surely?

Too early. They are probably cold or sick birds fluffed out.

Yeah, I thought way too early, but they're behaving like recently fledged chicks. Fluttering their wings approaching the female looking to be fed. More so the Blackbird. Speckled plumage around the breast. No Thrush speckled, just not full brown, if you know what I mean. :o

I get you. It's not beyond the bounds of possibility to have early clutches but it seems a bit much for them to be fledged as well. Any pictures?

I'll get some pics if he comes back. Haven't seen him in a while.

Two Redwings out feeding now along with 4 Song Thrushes. Beautiful birds.
