Structural Engineering Question !!!

Looks like they pulled out a few of the roof beams. A video from earlier showed they knocked the wall in the corner, you cant see it in the video where the roof comes down, but a combination of both would leave very little support for the roof. Not a structural engineer either btw

Make no mistake, the building was suitably designed and 100% structurally sound. The digger went through it as it would go through any other similar structure.

You have to remember, that this was a pre planned robbery. They took jeeps earlier to test the response time of the Garda on the night, before setting off for Lidl. They knew they needed the digger to get the safe out due to the weight of it and it’s location within the building.

I was talking to some about this. Lidl has planning permission for a bigger store. The digger stolen was from lidl and was doing some ground works.

Was the store some sort of portal frame?
