It depends on the drug, and unless you've been examined it's very unlikely.

There is a video doc service for some insurers. Maybe there is one that you can use on spec.

Mine won't. He needs to examine a patient first. If it's a repeat prescription they may well do, but only a call to the particular practice will tell you.

GP has examined me before and have been on my med for the last year , so it would be a renewal of the prescription , ill ask on monday either way

If you use the same pharmacy, ask them, I know in some cases our pharmacy does, but it's next door to the GP

Unless you have a medical card it would probably need to be paid for - ours charge €15 for a repeat prescription and we can then collect it whenever it suits us to call in. Could another family member collect it for you?

Mod- Locking this thread but before I do as its not a thread for AH and unsure where to put it. Anyone any ideas pm me.

Is there a caredoc type setup near your location. Kdoc is here in Kildare. You could go there on the weekend or at night to get your prescription. My doctor is €60 and the kdoc is €75 so not much difference really.
