    Hi.

Just wondering if some one could explain in simple terms how iCloud works re;photos.

I bought extra storage so have 50gb. Do my photos automatically upload to iCloud??

Also if I delete from my phone will they be deleted in my iCloud??

    Thanks in advance

Think of iCloud of a backup service, it’s not replacement storage. You can optimise photos so not as much space is used on your phone but If you delete a photo it will delete from iCloud, that goes for iCloud Drive as well

Hi there, sorry, didn't want to start a new thread so thought I'd piggyback on this one.....

I've had an iCloud account for ages, but barely use it and barely know how to. I now want to put my photos on my iPhone into iCloud so that I can access them directly from my PC also without having to manually transfer them. I've spent the last aaaaaages google searching and have followed all the steps (ensuring it's enabled on my phone, have the icloud for Windows app on my pc etc) but I still can't see how to get the photos from my phone to my PC via iCloud - is this not possible? Do I have to manually add them to the PC and then upload those to iCloud?
What am I missing here?? What am I supposed to be doing?
I want to get phone photos ==>iCloud==> PC....

It's working now when I take new photos, but what about all the photos that are already on my phone, is it not possible to retrospectively load them into iCloud?
