Ok this is a seriously weird question but genuine answers please. no this person is not me lol ive lived in ireland my entire life
I know someone who is 22 and is an illegal immigrant in europe. they say where they grew up was was hell on earth, that they would rather die than live there and have said they will commit suicide if they are deported back to their home country. they have no family or friends back in their home
country eitherthey were adopted, and would face jail time for petty crime if they were caught. them going back and doing their time in prison has been suggested to them but they would rather die and would commit suicide than be in that country again in their life especially in jail.
they have been surviving by doing programming online from their home and being paid in cryptocurrency (bitcoin) but he cant withdraw the majority of it, or open a bank account, due to having no ID. This guy is living in a room in an apartment where he does not give the rent money to the landlord he gives it to the other room-mates (he must be unknowingly living there) he eats once a day. And is extremely isolated beyond words. He is constantly looking to make himself a fake ID but has explained there is no 'exact' copy online that he could actually use without being caught. all the added security enhancements
to ids are near impossible to duplicate (hes been trying for 3 years).

without extreme judgement is there any solution to this young guys situation? other than deportation?
is there anything you can think of that he could possibly do apart from turning himself in ?
    thanks.

There are many quangos in Ireland and also charities

These guys will give advice without informing the State.

Yes, we offer a confidential service, so if you call our information line you can tell us any facts about your immigration status. We are a charity and not a State agency or connected to INIS or GNIB, and we will not pass on any information you give us without your permission.

The personal advice I'd give to you is this guy is bad news. He's a criminal. He's here illegally. He's working illegally. He's attempting to obtain forged documents. And he spun you a lovely tale involving bitcoin. Keep away from him for your own good.

The best way forward is to apply for refugee status in Ireland. If his story is true in any way shape or form and his life is genuinely in danger he'd be granted asylum. He would be put up in a direct provision centre which would give him food and lodging and access to medical care. There are numerous supports in the form of charity organisations which are confidential services.

I would suggest, being foreign myself, that all proper legal routes are followed. Unfortunately there are many people working the system and if this person isnt willing to go the correct legal route, that you stay away and don't get sucked in to a bad situation.

Are you dating this person? or in a relationship with them? Before you go any further, get them to contact the immigration council to seek assistance in regularising their situation.

If what this guys says is true. I have my doubts about some of it...

This is by far the best advice. Tell yer man to get in touch with them, then walk away. Don't get involved.

He needs to set about getting himself legal or go back to his country or another one where he would be legal, or live in that apartment for testvofnhisnlife.

How is he paying for his current lodgings?

Adding to the advice given above, I would say DO NOT GIVE THIS PERSON ANY MONEY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

My advice: leave it alone. His presence here isn't affecting you, but you could potentially get into mucky territory reporting him.
Just leave it and don't get involved- He will sort it out himself.
