Family member mental health issues

    Hi everyone,
I've no idea if this is the right place to post this so apologies if it's not but I'm wondering if anyone would have any information,
A family member is suffering terribly with mental health issues and is currently admitted to hospital, this happened 10 years ago also and ended with a very serious suicide attempt which left her in ICU for months, after she came out we were her sole carers, well mainly my parents and we helped out as often as we could, she never really recovered fully from it and has been up & down over the past 10 years, it was a very stressful and exhausting time for all of us, but particularly my parents,
My problem is when she comes out this time we are going to be back to where we were 10 years ago, the problem is my brothers and I don't have the type of time we had before to help out so it will be entirely left to our parents who are both in their 70's and from experience the level of care that's going to be needed will really take its toll on them,

I'm wondering if there is any such thing as an "in between home" (preferably somewhere in Galway) where she could go when she is well enough to leave hospital but not well enough to be on her own? At the moment we can't even get in to talk to her under docs orders and we can't get a hold of anyone in the hospital to ask, any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Have any of you had any contact with community mental health staff at all?
