Luas Coin Limit

Hello anyone know what the coin limit is at the luas ticket machines?

I was trying to use loose change last week to top up my leap card but the transaction was cancelled with no prior warning saying I had reached the max coin limit!

Its either 18 or 32 coins.

The machine always returns the exact coins you inserted as a security feature so there is a limit to how many the machine can hold before the transaction completes

The Tesco self services machines don't care if you are looking at a way to get rid of coins, and they will take copper 1/2/5

Irish rail machines only take 30. Presume similer set up.

It's 30 coins, lowest you can put on Luas machines is €10, lowest you can put on Irish Rail is €5.

The lowest suggested denomination on luas machines is €10 but if you press cash and go you can top up by a minimum of €5
