What do I say to my boss about my notice ?

    So I handed in my notice my current company today giving them 2 weeks notice that I will be leaving. The only problem I am afraid of now is that in my contract it says you have to give 4 weeks notice in order to leave BUT i am 4 months into my probation period and while on probation period it says that my employer only needs to give me 1 week notice before my termanating my contract. Personally I think I am well within my rights to give 2 weeks notice as all they need to give me is 1 week? What do I say to my boss ifnshe tries to say I need to give 4 weeks? Any help would be greatly appreciated I am worried because I have been offered a new better job and they need mento start in 2 weeks!
