Not an easy job for anyone but you could throw a cube in a trailer or on a loader and run over with a half barrel or something.

I don’t think they would take on much if any snow.

Give plenty silage and no meal.

I also have out wintered cows being feed with round-baled silage from ring feeders.

They also get a mixture of a coarse feed feed with the same amount of Sugar Beet Pump Nuts.

The beet pulp nuts stop the cattle from getting bunged up and at the same time help in the cold weather.

They are very unlikely to eat enough snow to fill them. They have to eat something like 5 buckets of snow to get the equivalent of 1 bucket of water.

Salt poisoning is a very real concern in cattle that suddenly get access to water after a couple of days without it. Try keep them supplied with water or let them to a stream to drink if at all possible.
