Snow closure update

    this just came out on the staff list.
    University management team wrote:
    Following a meeting of the Emergency Management Team this morning, it has been decided to end classes/labs etc. today at 3pm.

    Staff may leave early, as necessary, from 3pm to ensure their safe return home. The University will be closed from 6pm this evening – all night classes will be cancelled and the University will remain closed tomorrow due to anticipated worsening weather conditions overnight.

    A decision about whether or not the University will open on Friday will be taken at lunchtime on Thursday and email will issues to all students and staff on Thursday by 2pm at the latest.

    Information will also be posted on the UCC Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/universitycollegecork and on UCC Twitter https://twitter.com/ucc as well as the UCC home page in the News and Views Section.

    We hope that all staff and students stay safe during the extreme cold weather and heed the advice of Met reann and local authorities.
