    Hey everybody,

I've currently got a Toshiba satellite but it's on its last legs after about 3/4 years of good service. I've about 800-900 euros to spend on a new laptop. Must be able to play games, doesn't need to be top end as I know I've no hope of getting one at this price. I play CS: GO, Total War Games and Football Manager mostly. Would like to be able to play a few newer first person shooters and not have my laptop struggle with Total Warhammer on its lowest settings. Can pay by debit card. All suggestions welcome.

    Cheers,
    Marcus Antonius

I recommended this on another thread but reposting here should meet your requirements.
this has a 4-core i5 (new gen are first 4-core mobile u chips) and nvidia mx150 graphics (a new laptop-designed graphics chipset that is pretty capable)
it also has the advantage of being not too heavy and portable if that is in someway useful to you as traditionally laptops that have reasonable graphics capabilities are bulky
it will run all those games you mentioned no problems and will even run relatively modern ones like overwatch, gta v no issues, even at 1080p, 30fps at least.
really demanding games you could run at 720p at playable rates.
it's 60 euro over your budget but this laptop has a premium all-metal build and great quality screen (often over-looked but it's what you see all the time:) ) yet is capable.
    here's a video overview

    longer review

    lenovo 720s
    https://www3.lenovo.com/ie/en/laptop.../p/88IP70S0833
4 core cpus - I'd go for the 8250u one for 960 euros
nvidia mx 150 graphics which is a big step up over the old 740mx or 940mx
    https://www.notebookcheck.net/Compar....242750.0.html
thunderbolt 3 which is great to have for fast connection options and even external graphics cards and will be increasingly useful and is rare enough on machines under 1200 euro.
    ssd
    long battery life
full hd screen - 14 inch is a nice size between 13.3 and 15.6
    light enough at 1.5 kg

for gaming credentials you can search youtube for 8250u mx 150 gaming
on this video you can see it running gtav at over 60fps even at 1080p
    https://youtu.be/xEgVjlcDxA8?t=662

it will even run the demanding and badly optimised player unknown battlegrounds at competitive rates

or you could go heavier 2.35kg , less premium build with a more powerful graphics card (1050 nvidia)

doesn't have thunderbolt 3 though and the screen doesn't look as good as the lenovo. nor the keyboard.
