New stove - metalic smelling smoke coming out

Hello, I got a new stove about 6 months ago and it was grand until we really loaded it up having it blasting. at that point a metallic smelling smoke was coming out of the chimney separate from the stove. i also noticed sparks were falling inside the chimney onto the top of the stove. it has a two inch clearance all round…

Hello, I got a new stove about 6 months ago and it was grand until we really loaded it up having it blasting. at that point a metallic smelling smoke was coming out of the chimney separate from the stove. i also noticed sparks were falling inside the chimney onto the top of the stove. it has a two inch clearance all round but it seems to me that something is catching fire up the flue and falling down separate to the the flue pipe. no idea how this can happen because the flexi flu should go from the stove all the way to the top unless something is over heating and catching. now we're obviously afraid to use it.
