Samsung A3 - Email app stopped working

    The OH's Samsung A3 has stopped receiving / sending emails from / to he web mail account since January. I tried a number of things - logging in to account, checking settings etc -all to no avail. She took it in to Carphone Warehouse to look at and was told (as I understand it from her) that "email" was gone and could not be got back - when I queried what exactly was gone I got a repeat of the "same story" if you get my meaning. This I took to mean that the app was not functioning properly and would not ever do so again (an assumption I know!) - the alternative being that the person she spoke to did not know one part of his / her anatomy from another.
    Any suggestions as to how issue can be rectified would be appreciated. Thanks!

    What is the mail account? Do other mail accounts work with the app?

    Why not just use gmail for all of your email accounts?

    The mail account is a "topmail" account - OH is reluctant to abandon it as all her contacts know that address. She has a gmail account that she never uses (her friend set it up for her telling her she needed one I didn't know about....my A).
    I set that up for her on her mobile and linked it to email app.....sent her a test email and it seemed to work ok.

    So is the issue resolved? Did you just set the account up on Gmail, or are you forwarding email from that address to her Gmail account?
