    Where are you based?
West, centre or East side of city?

Lots of suggestions in this thread

What's wrong with the car? Maybe we can help you fix it yourself.

I've used firststop in knocknacarra for the last few years.

Prices are good, won't do work without giving you a full price first and if they can't do something are straight about it but will point you in the right direction.

Western Autos were good for me.
They are based in Inverin so not sure how that suits your location.

SOS, visiting Galway for weekend and car just broke down. Clutch stopped working, (07 Honda CRV) tow guy said prob clutch. Tow company holding it overnight but I need to find somewhere for them to bring it to in the morning. Any suggestions, somewhere that will be reasonable if it's doable. Tow guy said will be really hard to find anywhere to take it!

Wowsers, that's amazing, tow company were pretty clear it was meant to be nearest but they'd bring it somewhere around Galway if we could find someone to look at it. Maybe if I'd said no one would take it and begged them to take it to Dublin!! Maybe I rolled over to easy and needed to push harder.

In the end we went to Larry Walsh in Barna, recommended by a Galway friend of my OH.

Hopefully getting fixed in coming week

Your insurance policy will usually detail the maximum distance they'll tow you in case of a breakdown. Think last time I had to use it with mine it was 50km

Mine said they would bring it to the nearest gatage that could fix the problem.

Which could end up being a maindealer
