Hi, a filling(and most of the back of my tooth as the bottom back) came away last night.

I can't get an emergency appointment until Friday. My jaw is on fire and throbbing. Worried bout infection.
Is there anything anyone can recommend to try get me through the next few days.

I'm in Tipperary. Yeah he's my own dentist am on a cancellation list. Going to try the other dentist in town in the morning. Have heavy duty pain relief already, barely taking the edge off.

I’d imagine you would get a cancellation in the next day or so.people cancel appointments all the time.best of luck.suppose between now and then just keep topping up the pain relief.

I was in a similar position last week. Pain killers weren’t doing anything, got the tooth pulled on Saturday, in the mean time I found neat whiskey, swirled around in the mouth (them swallowed.... obviously) helped to numb the area. Worth a try, it’s only temporary relief but made a huge difference with sleeping through the pain

Happened my wife where she even got relief from cold water on her tooth. Can't imagine what she was going through that that numbed the pain. She was in agony.

Ring around for a dentist, any dentist.

Clove oil is your man !!

It was used by dentists before modern anesthetiser was available.

Had it taken out this morning. 20 mins of pulling.... roots were massive.

Gone now. Resting up feeling a little sorry for myself but relieved.
