Gas Boiler

Looking to replace our gas boiler as over 15 years old.

We have a vokera mynute 14 and hot press with cylinder in place at present.

Are ideal logic or vogue or Worchester Bosch the better ones to consider?

We are thinking of getting the two zone controls. Does the plumber have an electrician usually for putting the controls in place?

And should a full power flush be always carried out? Do they fairy in the way they are carried out and which is the recommended process?

    Thanks

Not a plumber but had similar questions recently. We are getting an ideal vogue fitted in the coming weeks. It has ten year parts warranty. Better rated boiler than the logic. The bosch is good to but would have cost us more due to some changes in gas piping to existing boiler. Another plumber mentioned that parts can sometimes be harder sourced for the bosch but not sure about that.

Re flushing - pressurised flushing seems to be less common. If you have older pipes like I have with mixture of gunbarrell and copper etc then magna flushes seem to be the way to go. The water is pumped around under less pressure and gunk removed by large magnets in the flushing machine.

Re the controls, I've found that tricky to be honest. Luckily my plumber has a nest pro installer partner and he's looking after the full installation for me. The plumber fits the motorised controls for splitting the system. We are having two additional pipes run to the cylinder from boiler to allow for this.

    Hope that's of some help,
    Mick
