Help! Advice needed about switching from solid fuel central heating

We have a 35 year old 3 bed bungalow which has a Stanley Super 90 Range with back boiler in the kitchen and two fire places in the two sitting rooms.

We never use the fireplaces as we have the range burning turf and coal day and night for heating the rest of the house. The place is lovely and cosy when the range is on but despite attic and cavity wall insulation the house loses heat pretty quickly a few hours after the range is goes out.

We are rennovating soon and plan to save space in the kitchen by removing the range but need advice on what heating system we should switch to. We are so used to the constant heat we have at the moment so hope we will find something just as warm while being efficent and affordable in the short / long term.

I would really appreciate any advice on this. Thanks in advance.

I would advise not getting rid of the range. Look at your insulation again, are your windows up to the job, was the attic insulation done properly?
