We get a good range of wild birds around here because of our location, right on the Atlantic.
There are wild geese (two different varieties) grazing the medow fields, on and off, for a good portion of the year, usually the colder months. There must have been a hundred yesterday.
We have cranes sometimes in the drains and wild ducks and ducklings as well.
Swans too but not that often, maybe a few times a year.

No corncrake allthough it's within earshot.

We do get paid through glas for the twite, I'm wondering if there are any other potential payments for any other wildlife.

There used to be a payment for owls, not sure if it is still going.
Neighbouring farmer said it was great owl money.

I saw an article about the Hen Harrier scheme in the IFJ a few weeks ago. Don't know anything about it though.

We used to get a bit of crack laughing at the term used, but in all seriousness for the op's benefit, there was a payment for protecting owl habitat.
