I've an old Sony Ericsson phone that I would like to use.

My three sim card isn't recognised in it.

The Sony is in perfect working order,

The sim card is brand new, faultless.

Any ideas? Perhaps part of a planned obsolescence?

I just want to use the old phone for a break from the 'smart'phone.

    Thanks.

Old 2G device, Three supply 3G and up only sims which old devices can't handle.

Only operator I know of that provide legacy sims are Vodafone, and even they may have stopped.

Tesco, Lyca, Eir SIMs should work

SIMs issued in the last 3 years from Vodafone and Three won't.

Is the phone unlocked to any network?

    Phone's unlocked yes.

I think Ed on the second post answered it.

    Thanks for all the replies.
