    Hi guys,

Choosing between gluing down or floating laminate floor boards.

If gluing down I'll be putting down 6mm cork underlay then 6mm ply and then gluing down laminate.

If floating I'll be putting down 12mm cork underlay and then floating laminate floor boards.

What do you think is better and why?

    Thanks

no need at all for glueing laminate, what's the story with the cork??12mm seems a bit extreme, you can buy insulated underlay that's made for laminate and it's no where near 12mm.

There is nothing in the cavity between the joists. There is no rubber strip under t n g boards... So I'm compensating for the rubbish job builder did
