I'm just about to place a biggish order, and would like advice as whether to pay in Euro or Sterling? Thanks in advance!

Normally you get a better exchange using Sterling, also could be cheaper using ParcelMotel as you will be UK Vat, make sure you increase your liability with ParcelMotel in case it gets lost so you will be cover.

Get a Revolut card and use just that for online shopping.[/quote]
But the seller does not support the Revolut card except the VISA and MASTER card.I paid the Western Union in my last order on <SNIP>,i never used Western Union before. But it is safe than the online credit card payment

If they accept Mastercard they will accept the Revolut card as it's a Mastercard, You only need to top-up your Revolut card when using it, so if any doggy website tried to charge they could only succeed if you have enough money on your account.

You are more protected with Revolut if you have any issues with your order or item as you could do a charge back, with Moneygram you have no protection at all.

Ok,maybe i will take the Revolut card
I have another question? Will you be charged the transaction fee when you pay for us online with credit card?In my first order,i paid $38,but actually they charged me $45.I emailed them, however, they told me it is the bank transaction fee.So that is one of the reason that i do not want to use the credit card payment.Did you have the same experience when shopping online?

Pay Amazon in sterling (or the currency of the Amazon site you are using). Your cc bank or Amazon will screw you on the exchange rate transaction otherwise. Use Revolut and lodge money to Revolut in your own currency with your card remembering Amazon pre authorise a small payment first and them later take the full amount on dispatch which may not use this pre authorise, be sure to have enough in the Revolut to cover both.

Always pay a vendor in his local currency, let your bank or credit card do the conversion.

When even Amazon can't beat the bank, nobody else will either.

Amazon can indeed beat the bank, but they pocket this extra profit rather than giving consumer a good rate. Think about how much extra they make on FX just because users are too lazy to switch currency.
