Legal Aid and the application of justice

Should the guilty be liable to repay the state for the cost of any free legal aid they receive and in the event they claim inability to pay, should they be denied all state benefits and put on bread and water if incarcerated. Should the prisons become larger and moved the the midlands where vast areas of peatland can be cordoned off with razor wire to become a permanent work camp for criminals. Should not a more brutal regime be introduced to break the backs and the spirit of criminals from their very first offence? Work should be the only means which criminals regain their freedom.

You could put a sign over the entrance to remind them.

    "Work sets you free"
