Pairing a set top box remote to a tv

Hey

Not sure if this is the right forum.

I have an LG tv. I am trying to pair my saorview connect remote to the tv so I can control the tv power button, volume and hdmi input.

In the saorview manual there are several LG tv codes and it would be a pain to go through them all.

Surely there is a simpler way to pair.

I keep seeing 'magic remote' being mentioned.
Is that the LG tv remote or what?

i would imagine its your lg remote to control other things.

I got it sorted.
I decided to start at the end of the code list and my luck was in. The 2nd last code worked.

To pair I used the code 0269 and now it is sorted.

Can someone tell me do different set top boxes need different remote codes for the 1 tv.

Can the code 0269 be used for any stb or just the saorview connect box?

i have multiple added extras and never bothered to setup from tv as tv has 3 hdmi and amp has 4,memory test to switch each setting,hopefully others can answer that better.
