Getting rid of SKY

    So much for recovery in my house, with other bills going to have to give SKY the boot...had sports and multi room but no choice only get rid of the lot..
    When your cut off will there still be some channels that i can still see or more importantly the children?

    You can receive the majority of channels on the Astra satellite without any subscription.
    The SKy box is not the ideal device for doing so but it would do as an interim measure, before the frustration gets to the users.

    But, a couple of months savings would pay for a suitable 'combi box' which , with the addition of a terrestrial aerial should provide the vast majority of TV channels watched in most households.

    Lots of threads on the subject here, so do a little reading to get useful info.

    You'll have plenty of flicking around on your Sky box, but as a lot of channels will now be missing it might be better to stick all your commonly watched channels in your favourites, and it will be faster to move between them with no blank channels.

    Or save the hassle and get yourself a cheap Freesat box.
