Cancelling an insured flight

    I have flights booked for tomorrow 24th

    I booked the flights through edreams and paid the extra 11euro for the insurance which stated that i can cancel my flight and get a full refund.

    I rang aer lingus and they said they no nothing about this

    What can i do ? Cheers

    Contact edreams, your contract is with them.

    Their cancellations charges will probably be the cost of the flights knowing edreams.

    That's a very low premium if it covered a 'change of mind' cancellation and offered you a genuine full refund.

    They would have to bear the cost of the fare just because you decide not to travel for no particular reason. I'm inclined to think that it came with conditions similar to a standard travel policy meaning that you'd need to show that a specific event happened which prevents you from travelling like illness, redundancy etc..

    Either that or there are terms and conditions (e.g. as suggested by the previous poster) which render the cover meaningless.
