Looking for suggestions for strings for a Martin 0028. Mostly finger picking style.

    Cheers.

I'm a big fan of the Martin Retro strings.
I use them on my Martin OM16, 0017s, and D18.
Fingerpicking style here also, but also great for strumming.

Worth trying a few though, and finding what suits yourself :)

Thanks for that. Indeed I need to try a few out, I've just been using standard Martin 11's, not thinkin about what I'm buying.

I just noticed recently, maybe because using a high end guitar with AAA Adirondack top, the massive difference in tone different plectrums can make.

The standard Martin 11's sound a bit scratchy to me. But then again, they need changing.
