    Hi there,

I'm in Ireland on a stamp 4 visa and I'm engaged to an Irish man as well. We have a 5-year-old son together and I'm applying for citizenship this year (August). I have a cousin from Brazil who'd be coming to Ireland in June to help us out with our little one and she would also like to improve her English. I was wondering if there's any possibility here she could come on a different visa rather than a student one? She's intending to stay in Ireland for a year.
I can't find any information on the website about it since she's not a direct ascending or descending relative (she's my mom's niece).

She would not be working and would be fully sponsored by myself and my Irish fiance. We both work full-time jobs.

Thank you very much for the help!

You will have to speak to a solicitor who specialises in this area but yes.

It's possible for dependent family members.

She can come on a tourist visa and stay 3 months, but you and your fiance have to prove that you can afford her staying.

But because she is your cousin it is a bit more complicated. If the case was your mother or your father and they were retired and sick and you are the only person that would be able to take care of them, I think there is a chance of getting a residence visa.

But cousin is hard to say.
