    Hi,

I recently bridged my Vodafone HG659 router with an Orbi.

Am I right in saying the only way to log into the Vodafone router now is by connecting an ethernet cable to it and logging in on a PC? Whereas before if I typed in 192.168.1.1 I could log into it.

In other words I can no longer log into the Vodafone router via. wifi while on the Orbi network.

I have an Eir F2000 bridged to a Mikrotik CRS for the last few years. I can't login to the F2000, not that I've ever needed to. I can tell by the lights when it's synced. I've even changed provider from Eir to Vodafone. When vectoring got enabled in the exchange I rang Vodafone support, they told me the line stats and turned my speeds up to suit. Why do you even need to login? Once it's bridged is no longer routing.

Yes I have a bridged huawei router and the only way to log in is to put an ethernet cable in the router.

I done it before but can't remember exactly how. I think I changed the IP of the 'new' router to something under the Vodafone IP so 192.168.1.2 and then I was able to login to the vodafone router.

    It depends.

If the routers on both sides support RIP on those interfaces itll work, if not it can be fixed manually if both support that.

I found this guide very good maybe this will help
    http://www.kitz.co.uk/routers/zyxel_VMG8324-B10A_bridge.htm

I have another cable as per the guide connecting the Router and Eir modem so can still check line stats etc

Thanks folks. Yeah, I don’t really need to log into the Vodafone router - it’s just for line stats as my line is being pushed to the limit.
