A salt solution is made of 6.5grams of table salt in 500 millilitres of water. How much salt is needed to make 200 millilitres of water.

Just can't get my head around it at this hour of the night..:(

You can't get your head around it because you've quoted it incorrectly. ;)

    The actual question is:

A salt solution in made of 6.5 grams of table salt in 500 milliliters of water. How much salt is needed to make a salt solution with 200 ml of water?

    See if that helps! :)

If the ratio is 6.5 to 500, then divide both by 5 to get 1.3 to 100.
Multiply both by 2 to get 2.6 grams for 200ml of solution.

It seems incomplete in some ways.
Do you not just divide 6.5 by 5, times 2...?

I get a C for deriving the right answer.
Conar gets the A for showing his work.

    :)
