Hi I have a mk6 2011 golf it’s the bluemotion model the radio signal is poor at times on some fm stations. There is no aerial on the roof just the one that is factory installed in the back window along with the heated rear window. Which also if turned on affects the signal completely for all stations. Any suggestions on how to improve or fix this problem.

    Is it a factory radio?

If it's not fitted with a genuine headunit you'll need a powered antenna amp, they are not expensive you just need to get the correct one for your car.

Is there a phone charger plugged in? This can drastically affect the signal.

Had this exact problem on a Mk 6 myself. Turns out, in my case, it was poor continuity in the antenna cable caused by a crack in the outer antenna cable sleeve where it passed through flexible conduit from boot lid, into vehicle. Replaced this and all was well.
