    Hi.
Wondering if anyone has been to both Ljubljana and Trogir & if so which would you recommend to spend 5-8 hours in from morning until mid afternoon?
Heading to Dubrovnik and have the option of spending a day in either of these places enroute but not sure which to pick.
    Cheers for any suggestions

both are lovely. Trogir is small and a old walled city whereas Ljubljana is also small but more spread out. I did a very interesting walking historical tour of Ljubljana. Trogir would be much nearer to Dubrovnik.

Never been to Trogir so can't really offer a comparison but I've been to Ljubljana a couple of times and love the laid back charm of the place. I remember commenting to the missus that Slovenia was like Italy, but civilised! The people quiet and polite, well mannered driving - they even stop to let pedestrians use zebra crossings which took me by surprise!

Thanks for the reply. If I go with Trogir I have a 5 and a half hour bus trip to Dubrovnik in the afternoon/early evening (no evening flights on the day I travel) whereas with Ljubljana I can fly from Zagreb in the evening time.
    So a bit undecided.
Will only have a short space of time anyway in either place.

I could always go directly to Dubrovnik and not bother with either place but was thinking it might be nice to see another town while I'm over there.
I won't have a huge amount of time in Dubrovnik during the day either (over for work for a few days) but will have enough to see a bit of it even with sacrificing a day or Trogir or Ljubljana.

Not sure what the best plan of action is :-)
