Galaxy s7 battery question

    Hi,
Purchased a brand new s7 from eglobal and it arrived without a hitch. Phone checks out as the real deal so no issue there. My previous phone was a Htc1 which I had for years, so well overdue a change. However I find the galaxy draining fast which I was not expecting. I have the phone charged 100% at 8am and by four or five pm near enough 30% left and that's with battery saving performance mode and low screen light on during the whole day. My personal use is simply some internet and calls, some photo use maybe. Chrome is disabled before it's mentioned. I also keep hungry apps off. Is this normal for a new Galaxy?

Sadly no, its not normal. My S7 is nearly 2 years old and i fast charge it everyday (which destroys the health of the battery)

Because of the fast charging my battery capacity is 70% health now. But even with that i still get ok battery. My phone has been off charge for 13 hours now and is still on 56% battery.

Download an app called AccuBattery and let it run for a few days, its analysis the battery and see what is draining your battery, it'll also tell you the status of the battery.

If its a brand new phone, i'd be looking at returning it.
