Someone reversed into my car door a few months back and left a decent scratch and a bit of a dent. I want to sell the car but I dont know whether to sell as is for a reduced price or should I get it fixed up (panel beating and spray paint) and sell it for a normal price.

I dont want to loose my no claims bonus bit I dont have much cash to fix it either but could probably manage it if it was to be worthwhile.

    Any ideas?

Depends on the car and the level of damage really.

If it's a new ish car people will expect near perfect bodywork. On an older car you may not get back what you invest into the bodywork.

Pics would help, as well as car details :)

Would you yourself buy a car with a similar scratch and dent you mention?
Me, I probably wouldn't unless car was dirt cheap.

I was thinking if I sold it to a dealer they would probably be able to get it fixed up easy enough. They would probably completely shaft me though. It is a 2011 Mazda Premacy, 7 seater. Ill get a few pics tomorrow and see what people think.

As you probably have guessed the dealer will look for any opportunity to drive the price of your car down, and a big dent will certainly catch their eye.

A 7 year old people carrier wouldn't be unusual to have a bit of damage.
