Toyota Verso

I previously posted here in relation to getting an XC60 but I've decided to forego that as although we like the style it just sn't suitable.

We seem to have settled on a Toyota Verso - 3/4 year old (less than 30K mileage). A bit boring but it's practical.

Has anyone any comments to make re this choice?

As a recap, we have a 5,4 and newborn; mileage would be about 15km per day in Dublin commuting with a motorway drive down south once every 6 weeks or so).

Maybe look at a Prius+ 7 seater instead, most Versos around would be diesel which wouldn’t be that suited to your driving.

There aren’t any European spec Prius+ for sale in Ireland that I know of, but maybe drive a Japanese model one and see if you like it, then get one in the UK. Carroll and Kinsella blackrock have a new one you could have a go of.

    Hi there

Have a 2009 model verso now for 3 years - got it when children similar ages to yours. Ours is diesel and does mostly local but gets a longer run every 2 - 3 weeks and we've had no problems with it. I intend keeping it as its been very economical and reliable thusfar

Real MPG is around 40. I would recommend it based on my experience and I think it would suit your situation. I would try to get a 151 or later if possible

Cheers. I think we'll get a petrol as we're just not doing the mileage. Are there any other alternatives ie mid sized MPV's?

Indeed a petrol would probably be fine for your mileage - only question is availablility as there seem to be very few petrols in ireland.
