Japanese Prius - availability of spare parts

    Hi Boards,
I would like to buy a 2013 Prius imported form Japan to use as a taxi for the next 5+ years.  As such, I want to be sure I can get spare parts easily and cheaply.
Does the Japanese Prius differ hugely from the Irish model?  Will I be able to get spare parts for a Japanese import cheaply and easily?
I would appreciate any other advice.
I did find an old thread relating to Japanese Prius imports but cannot view it as the "back-end gave an error".

    Thank you.

My father in law just got one.
Having awful trouble getting a spare key. Even the Toyota dealers cannot code one.

I'd imagine most normal consumable items are the same, and if not your Toyota dealer should be able to get most parts. I think it's only when things get complicated and involve electronics (like the key situation above) that you may run into problems. I believe Toyota Ireland won't do the Hybrid Health Check with Japanese imports, possibly due to software compatibility issues? They have no problems dealing with UK imports (like mine).
