Potential Kitchen\Dining\Sunroom renovation

    Hi all,

We are toying with the idea of doing some major work with a decent amount of space in our house which comprises of kitchen -> dining -> sun room

The issue is lack of light, even on a sunny day the kitchen\dining room would be very dark - obviously the sun room doesn't have this issue.

The dining room shares some of its space with a utility and our plan is to open the whole thing up, have a wrap around glass wall and then separate the space of the kitchen\dining area from the sun room by maybe a central stove or something like that.

Where do we start? Do I get a few builders in and explain to them our vision to get idea of cost or should the first port of call be a designer\architect (we were thinking of getting someone with this expertise to ensure we got maximum value out of this exercise.

Id start with a Professional first, as they will guide you in everything you need to do
    (Designer/Architect/Architectural Technologist/Engineer/Building Surveyor)

A Builder might give you a rough price without any plans drawn, but there will always be extras in a situation like that
