HI, I just seen this Thread. I am contemplating in buying a 141 Audi A3 Saloon. Does anyone know what the depreciation rate is on those cars - what would trade in values be like in a couple of years time?

You'd probably need more information like fuel actual model of A3 mileage currently, your estimated mileage, the amount of years you'll hold it for etc

its a 2.0 Diesel, currently with approx. 80000 miles. Would prob hold it for 4 to 5 years
its A3 Saloon, SE TDI 150

You’re talking a 9 year old car by the time you’re selling it. The A3 makes decent money as an 09 now but not massively more than other 09 cars.

SE would not be as desirable as a S Line and it's very hard to judge the used car market in 4 or 5 years time.

S line carries a big premium though so you won't save money as such even though it would be worth more and easier to sell
