It looked black, didn't get part of the reg, they were doing about 90-100 Km/h .

Passed them between Crookstown/Athy and Carlow/Casteldermot turn off.

Just caught from the corner of my eye it was an Ioniq when I flew past them.

Obviously scared of the lack of CCS on the M9, it's a disgrace !

No obviously about it. They might just be in no hurry. I often toddle along on motorways at 90-100 Km/h in my diesel. As long as I'm not holding anyone up, I see no problem with that. If I come up behind a slower vehicle, I will goose it to pass at the motorway limit to make sure I'm not going slow in the overtaking lane.

Not everyone feels the need to drive around like a scalded cat. :)

I've never seen an Ioniq do 90km/h. I was overtaken by one once on the M3, he was doing about 150km/h and I was doing 130km/h :p

If you don't want to charge at Naas, it's over 170km from Dublin to Waterford fast charger and you could do it on a good day at 120km/h. But not in winter. No need to drive at 90km/h at all though. But maybe the driver was new to the car / not used to doing long distances with very few fast chargers. I was a bit careful myself on my first long trip (also to Waterford)

@Unkle theres a few Ioniqs regularly on the m3.
Currently I'm commuting in a prius so it doesn't go over 100km/h, all the ioniqs go flying by.

Could have been they were on the way to Waterford and needed to make sure they got there ?

Why would you not go over 100 Kph ?

    Fuel economy.
Hate filling up with dino juice.

Have to keep chanting the mantra---it's only short term---it's only short term---it's only short term---it's only short term
