    Hello i have a tripple axel 14 foot ifor williams trailer with drop down sides. And im woundering would a 14 foot detachable cattle body fit straight on to it. And do ye kno what price the body would be. Wouldnt be using the trailer for livestock only 4 or 5 times a year and would save buying a cattle trailer then as well espically when im not going to be using it for livestock much thanks

    They're a pain, anybody round here that had one always got rid and bought a conventional trailer.
    Problems are;
    If the body gets bent the holes never match up again.
    They are higher, so less stable
    When the cattle body is on you need the flat trailer....
    I think the longest one is 12ft, not 14ft.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    They do come 14ft tri axle

    I have a twin axle 12ft with folding sheep decks . Never had the body off. I bought it with intention of selling the plant trailer . Its still here also :o

    However I would be a fan of the demountable if you already have the sides. I could never locate a set of sites and front board for reasonable money

    Went and bought a tri axle 16ft trailer last autumn. its a weapon of a thing

    We used to do it a bit then got fed up of the messing and got a flat aswell, far handier, but the flat does more work here and some of the times you want the box you want it in a hurry not after half an hour putting the body on!

    Anyways, we undo the bolts, slide the body back till it tips back and the heel of the ramp sits on the ground, then come in from the side with the loader, put a strap through the 2 front handles and give it a gentle lift then drive out, and leave it sitting on the ground flat. We moved the 2 front handles so that one bolt is into the rail across the front rather than just in the Ali panels, bit stronger for lifting and it also meant we could leave the head board on under them
