Anyone playing non VR games in VR?

I've only played VR games since the Vive was released but I want to give Kingdom Come a go so might just play as a flat screen in VR

Steam will load it in the Steam desktop player but is there any point in using Bigscreen instead?

I tried playing PES via big screen but the lag/stuttering made it unplayable.

The new big screen update uses a lot less gpu now.

You could try switching an environment to something less intensive such as the void, and disabling characters in the room, real time reflections and lighting.

(you can get some of the megadrive games for free on steam right now via https://www.makewarnotlove.com/ at least for the next few days)
    MegaDrive and Genesis classics.
It has a nice Virtual Bedroom Frontend tha oddly enough isn't enabled for VR..but running it in VR theatre mode gives the illusion of a Giant CRT TV which is nice
If you don't mind shelling out a bit extra mind you ,pick up new retro arcade.. about 2 minutes work gets the uncompressed rom files running on an emulated megadrive in an 80s themed room.
